"I'll never forget – it was maybe 2 AM at a happening club in Singapore, everyone was dancing, drinking, having a great time. I used to dress conservative because I thought people I worked with would want that type of feeling from me, because I'm an engineer. That night I had worked late and couldn't go home to change. I was wearing pleated khaki pants, a black belt, brown shoes, and a green polo shirt - tucked in. Thinking back on it everyone must have thought, "Who's the nerd?!?" Ana came up to me with a serious look on her face - I really didn't know her that well at the time. With her hands on her hips she said, "I can't BELIEVE what you're wearing - don't you know??? You could be so hot if you wanted to!". She un-tucked my shirt and walked away.

A few weeks later we went shopping and we had a blast! Instead of me dreading to look for clothes, Ana worked her charm and I started to lose my fear for trying on progressive, "styling" clothing, and I started having fun with it! She taught me something I'll never forget.

She said, "When you wear something I pick for you that you do like – you brighten up and look great. But when you wear something I pick for you that you don't like - you look bad – because you project how you feel. But thing is, you could look AMAZING in it if you were more comfortable with yourself!!!"

She was always warm, comfortable, and never pushed me. Ana had a smooth, gentle way of showing me how to "pull off" what I was wearing. We ended up shopping quite a few times together - she said I was her "project"! I learned so much about myself and I seriously got SO many compliments when I was out at clubs in outfits she picked out for me! One night, at a wedding in Tokyo, after getting many compliments on my sharp black suit that I bought with Ana, I got another - from a lovely lady that I had been wanting to chat up all night! To stand out in Japan REALLY is something, especially for me - and I didn't even like the suit at first, but Ana knew. As I eased into conversation with this lady I had a huge smile on my face. I was feeling good, thinking I couldn't wait to tell Ana how much fun I had that night!
